A new chapter is beginning in Takshvi’s life, one that’s going to change everything for her, though she has no clue about it yet. In the living room, her whole family is gathered, waiting for Anshul to arrive. The reason for this get-together is clear—Anshul is there to show Yuvaan’s biodata to Takshvi.
Meanwhile, Takshvi is fast asleep in her room until the soft morning sunlight sneaks through the window and wakes her up. She gets up and heads to the bathroom to get ready for the day, but today she feels something different, something she can’t quite place. As she sits quietly, she prays, “I don’t get why I’m feeling something for this stranger, Mahadev, but please—don’t bring more trouble into my life. I’ve been through so much already, and I can’t handle any more.”
Having said this, she picks up her phone and begins to scroll through her messages and emails. However, the instant she opens her cousins’ WhatsApp group, she is taken aback by a message from Anshul, announcing that he is bringing a biodata for her prospective groom. Speechless, she sets her phone aside and murmurs softly to herself: “Y kya chl rha h bhaiya k dimag ma. Kl toh kitna dant rhe th, warn kr rhe th and aaj khud Rishta lekr aa rhe h. Kya krna chahte ho bhaiya….”
(What is occupying your thoughts, brother? Only yesterday you were reprimanding and cautioning me, yet today you arrive bearing a marriage proposal yourself. What exactly is it that you wish to accomplish?)
After saying this, she gets up from her seat and goes downstairs, where everyone else is having breakfast. She sits with them at the table. Her dad then says to her, “Today, Anshul is bringing a marriage proposal for you, Takshvi. But listen to me—behave gracefully. Be polite to the guy and don’t create any trouble.”
Takshvi responds with a simple nod and says, “I will attend to this matter appropriately.”
Krishna acknowledges her reply with a nod, while Mishti and Avi exchange stunned expressions at the announcement.
Mishti then remarks: “Dii, apne btaya nhi ki apki shadi hone vali h?”
(Dii, you did not mention that you are soon to be married.)
Avi nods and says: “Hnn dii, apne btaya nhi?”
(Yes dii, you didn’t tell us?)
Before she could utter a word, a voice interjected: “Kbhi apni didi ko time diya hota toh vo btate bhi Mishti and Avi but tum dono toh apni hi life ma ho.”
(Had you ever devoted time to your elder sister, she would have shared her thoughts with you, Mishti and Avi. Yet both of you remain absorbed in your own worlds.)
Takshvi closed her eyes and murmured, “Not again.”
Krishna rose to his feet and called out, “Anshul, come.”
Indeed, the remark had been made by Anshul, who stepped into the living room and declared, “As promised, I bring forth a proposal for Takshvi.”
Krishna nods and says: “Yes, I know but who is that boy?”
Anshul slightly smirks and says: “Apne Airan and brothers company ka naam toh suna hoga?”
(You must have heard of Airan and Brothers Company, I presume?)
Krishna nods and says: “Yes, I have heard a lot about that company.”
Anshul nodded and says: “So, the soon to be groom is CEO of that company – Yuvaan Airan.”
When they heard this, the whole family went completely silent—everyone except Takshvi, who had already decided she would say yes to the marriage. Anshul noticed her calm and emotionless expression and couldn’t help but silently blame her family for making her so numb. Taking a deep breath, he said, “There’s just one thing: he wants the wedding to happen as soon as possible because of some personal reasons. His family only includes a younger brother since his parents died in an accident years ago.”
Hearing this, Takshvi felt a sharp pang in her heart. Even with her tough exterior, she still had a soft spot for the innocent. The mention of Yuvaan’s parents made her truly sad, something Anshul noticed, and it even brought a small smile to his face, comforted by the fact that she could still feel.
Keeping all this aside he continues: “Agr aap log chahte h toh m Yuvaan and uske bhai k sath aap logo ko milva deta hu.”
(If you wish, I can arrange for you to meet Yuvaan along with his brother.)
Krishna thinks for a moment and says: “Okay, I want to meet him.”
Avi and Mishti exchange looks and says: “We also want to meet him.”
Anshul raises his eyebrows and says: “Tum dono kyu milna chahte ho?”
(And why do the two of you wish to meet him?)
Avi: “Vo humare hone vale jiju h toh hum milna chahte h.”
(He is soon to become our brother in law, so we would like to meet him.)
Anshul nods and says: “Toh ek kaam krta hu, usko yhi bula leta hu. Aap sb mil lena.”
(In that case, I shall call him here. You may all meet him together.)
All nod while Anshul texts Yuvaan and turns toward Takshvi and says: “Baat krni h muje.”
(I need to speak with you.)
Takshvi nods and says: “Aao, mere room ma kr lo.”
(Come, you can speak with me in my room.)
Anshul inclines his head in silent acknowledgment and departs in her company. Entering in her room, he closes the door from behind and says: “Sit Takshvi.”
Takshvi nods and says: “Aap bhi baith jao fr baat krte h.”
(You sit too, then we’ll talk.)
Anshul nods and says: “Koi dikkat h iss rishte se toh bta skti ho.”
(If you have any problem with this relationship, you can tell me.)
Takshvi shakes her head in no and says: “Muje koi dikkat nhi h. Apne dekha h toh accha hi hoga.”
(I don’t have any problem. If you’ve seen him, then he must be good.)
Anshul smiles in pain. Pain- that his sister is now accepting everything without any objection who used to create whole drama over small things but he knows he has to be strong for her now. So, he simply nods and says: Come, he will be here in any minute.
Takshvi nods and follows him into the living room. Soon, the place settles down, and Ankit shows up with Rahul. Seeing them brings back a familiar tension, and she starts feeling anxious again. Rahul has always been super protective, not letting anyone say a bad word about her. Ankit, being a doctor, is someone she naturally fears, even though she’s been hiding that fear ever since what happened before.
Her reflections are abruptly interrupted by two familiar voices—none other than Yuvaan and Anish. The brothers stride into the villa without hesitation, proceeding directly to Anshul, whom they embrace warmly. Anshul returns the gesture, asking, “Are you both well?”
They nod in unison and reply, “Yes, bhaiya.”
Acknowledging their response, Anshul inclines his head and gestures toward Takshvi. “This is Takshvi, and these are her family members,” he explains.
Yuvaan’s gaze falls upon Takshvi, and the instant their eyes meet, he is momentarily rendered speechless. The image before him contrasts sharply with his memories of her—a once slightly chubby, vivacious young girl, now standing in quiet composure, her demeanour betraying a deep weariness. His reverie is dispelled by Krishna’s voice: “I am her father. Please, have a seat.”
Yuvaan and Anish nods and sits on couch. Alka calls Takshvi in kitchen and says: “Jakr nashta serve krva do.”
(Go and serve the snacks.)
Takshvi gives a slight nod, retrieves the tray from the kitchen, and proceeds to serve them with measured care. Yuvaan and Anish watch intently, their eyes following each deliberate movement she makes. Turning subtly toward Yuvaan, Anish speaks in a hushed tone: “Bhai, y toh bol hi nhi rhi h.”
(Bhai, she is not even speaking.)
Yuvaan nods and says: “Yhi m soch rha hu ki kitni der ho gyi h hume ayy. Y kbse chup h.”
(I was just thinking about how long it’s been since we arrived. She’s been quiet for a while.)
Anish nods and says: “M baat krta hu.” (I’ll talk.)
Yuvaan nods and says: “Dhyan se.” (Carefully.)
Anish nods. Anish moves toward Anshul and says: “Bhai, kbse sb chup ho. Rishte ki baat shuru kro.”
(Bro, everyone’s been quiet for a while. Start the conversation about the relationship.)
Anshul nods and says: “Pucho, jo puchna h.”
(Ask, whatever you want to ask.)
Anish nods and asks: “Hume yaha kisliye bulaya?”
(Why were we called here?)
Anshul pointed toward Krishna and said: “Inhone bulaya h, pucho inse.”
(They called you, ask them.)
Anish’s body language shifts instantly after seeing Takshvi’s father and asks: “Ji kahiye, kyu bulaya h?”
(Yes, please tell me, why were we called?)
Krishna nods and says: “Hume Yuvaan se baat krni thi.”
(We needed to talk to Yuvaan.)
Yuvaan looks up and says calmly: “Hnji, kahiye.”
(Yes, please go ahead.)
Krishna: “Apko Takshvi psnd h?”
(Do you like Takshvi?)
Yuvaan looks toward Takshvi and says: “Ji, Anshul bhai na inka bio data dikhaya and muje koi dikkat nhi h inse shadi krne ma. But y shadi zabardasti nhi hogi. Inki bhi consent honi chahiye isme.”
(Yes, Anshul bhai showed me her bio-data and I have no problem marrying her. But this marriage won’t be forced. Her consent is equally important.)
Krishna nods and says: “Jesa apko chahiye jese hi hoga and rhi baat iski razamandi ki toh y tayyar h. Haina Takshvi?”
(It will happen just the way you want, and regarding her consent, she is ready. Right, Takshvi?)
Takshvi nodded without hesitation, prompting Ankit and Rahul’s jaws to tighten at the sight of her response. They remained silent, aware that any interference on their part would only complicate the situation. Rising from his seat, Yuvaan adjusted the buttons of his coat and spoke: “I want to talk with her.”
Krishna looks toward Alka and passes a silent agreement and says: “Okay. Takshvi, take him to your room.”
Takshvi nods and says: “Come, Mr. Airan.”
When they hear her voice for the first time, Anish and Yuvaan freeze for a moment. Its soft tone has this clear hint of confidence. Anish looks at Yuvaan and gives a quick, deliberate blink to reassure him, while Avi and Mishti share a look before saying, 'Anish bhai, we want to talk to you.'
Hearing them, Anish raises his eyebrows and looks toward Anshul who nods in response and says: “Kya baat krni h? Yhi kr lo.”
(What do you want to talk? Do it, here.)
Avi shakes his head and says: “It’s personal.”
Anish controls his laughs hearing personal word and says: Okay.
Avi and Mishti nods and takes Anish toward garden. And after arriving there, Avi says: “Bhaiya, aap baitho.”
(Bhaiya, you sit.)
Anish nods and sits on bench while waiting for them to start conversation but seeing their hesitation, he spoke up: “Kya baat h bacho? Bolo bhi.”
(What’s the matter kids? Speak up.)
Avi sighs and says: “Mishti, tu hi bol yrr. M ja rha hu.”
(Mishti, you speak. I am going.)
Mishti nods and says: “Okay.”
Soon, Avi leaves from there and Mishti says: “Ap dii ka dhyan rkhoge?”
(Will you take care of dii?)
Anish looks toward Mishti and notices her deep love for Takshvi and says while gently pulling her: “Firstly, sit. And about your question, yes, I will take care of her.”
Mishti nods and says while looking grass of garden: “M nhi janti ki apko y sch lgega ya nhi but apse kuch chize kehna chahti hu.”
(I am not certain whether you will perceive this as truth or not, but there are a few things I wish to share with you.)
Anish finds seriousness in her tone and says: “Bolo kya kehna chahte ho.”
(Go on, what is it that you wish to say?)
Mishti nods and says: “M pura sch nhi janti hu but jitna pta h vo bhi dii ka right h apko btane ka. Jese abhi apne dekha dii ko vese vesi nhi thi, pehle bht mjk msti krti thi but iss ghr ki toxicity na humse humari sister cheen lii. Meri dii ab hsti bhi nhi h and about her this silence, y sb papa ki vgh se h. Unhone didi se unka passion le liya. Dii novel writing krti thi even shyd ab bhi krti ho but y baat ghr ma kisi ko psnd nhi aai and unka vo passion maar diya. Ab dii corporate employee h but m janti hu vo khush nhi h. And abhi jo y Avi kehkr gya na ki m bta du…y bhi kum nhi h. Isne dii ko bht mentally preshan kiya h. Y kbhi bhi dii ki side nhi leta tha aur ab dii itni bdl gyi h toh isse bardash nhi ho rha h. And apko pta h meri dii kbhi bimar nhi hua krti thi kyunki vo khud ka dhyan rkhti thi aur ab vo bimar hoti h toh btate nhi kyunki unko kisi ko nhi dikhana ki vo kya bardash kr rhi h. Vo ptanhi kaha chli gyi h …muje khud nhi yaad ki last time mene dii se kb baat ki thi kyunki dii humse alg ho gyi h jbse humse compare krne lge y log unko.”
(I may not know the whole truth, but what little I do know is your right to hear. The sister you met today isn’t the same person she used to be—she used to be lively, full of energy, and always laughing. But the toxic atmosphere of this house has taken that sister away from me. She hardly smiles anymore, and behind that quietness is the deep mark of our father’s influence. He took away her passion. She used to write novels—maybe she still does—but no one in this house ever appreciated it. Her enthusiasm was crushed. Now she works as a corporate employee, but I know she’s far from happy. And about what Avi said today—telling me to spill the truth—that’s no small thing either. He’s caused my sister a lot of mental anguish. He never supported her, and now that she’s changed so much, he can’t deal with it. You know, my sister used to take really good care of herself; she was never sick. But now, when she does get sick, she hides it. She won’t show anyone what she’s going through. It is as though she has drifted away to some unknown place. I myself cannot recall the last time I truly spoke to her, ever since this household began comparing her to others and detached her from us.)
Saying this, her eyes become moist which made Anish sad too and says: “Mishti, beta m nhi janta ki unhone ab tk kitna kuch saha h but I know only one thing ki mere bhai bht acche insan h. Vo unhe hamesha khush rkhenge. And m bhi doctor hu toh unki tbiyt ka dhyan m rkhunga.”
(Mishti, my dear, I am unaware of the full extent of what she has endured thus far; however, I am certain of one thing—my brother is an exceptionally noble individual. He will always ensure her happiness. Moreover, as I am a doctor, I shall personally see to her well-being.)
Hearing this, Mishti’s eyes widen and says: “Aap doctor ho? Fr toh dii apse bht drengi. Unko drr lgta h doctors se.”
(You are a doctor? Then my sister will be quite apprehensive around you. She has a fear of doctors.)
Anish chuckles and says: “Don’t worry beta. M unhe kbhi uncomfortable feel nhi hone dunga.”
(Do not worry, child. I will never allow her to feel uncomfortable.)
Mishti nods and says: “Vese ap Anshul bhai ko kese jante ho?”
(By the way, how do you know Anshul bhai?)
Anish: “Humre papa best friends th.”
(Our fathers were the closest of friends.)
Mishti nods and says: “Aao andr chlte h.”
(Come, let us go inside.)
Anish nods and leaves with her.
Meanwhile In Takshvi’s room:
Yuvaan stepped into her room, his gaze sweeping across the space with meticulous attention. He noted its simplicity: immaculate surfaces, an air of quiet order, and shelves brimming with books. The sight elicited a soft chuckle, as he recalled Takshvi’s oft-repeated remark, “I fail to understand why God even created books.”
Hearing him chuckling Takshvi asks: “Kya hua?”
(What happened?)
Yuvaan clears his throat and says: “Apko reading ka shok h?”
(Are you fond of reading?)
Takshvi nods and says: “Ji.”
Yuvaan nods and says: “Lg rha h apke room ko dekhkr.”
(It’s looking like that by seeing your room.)
Takshvi nods and asks: “Kahiye, kya baat krni thi Mr. Airan?”
(Tell me, what do you want to talk about Mr. Airan?)
Yuvaan: “First of all, aap muje Yuvaan keh skti h.”
(First of all, you can call me Yuvaan.)
Takshvi nods on which Yuvaan says: “M janna chahta hu ki ap iss shadi ko apne mn se kr rhi h ya forcefully because mere liye y rishta bht matter krta h. M nhi chahta ki mujse shadi krk apko kbhi bhi y lge ki apko mere sath forcefully bandha gya h.”
(I just want to know if you’re getting into this marriage because you want to or because you feel forced, since this relationship means a lot to me. I’d never want you to feel like you’re stuck with me against your will.)
Takshvi gazes at Yuvaan for a while, perhaps realizing that this might be the first time someone has truly thought about her—not out of obligation, but out of genuine humanity. Keeping her thoughts aside she says: “Ap tension mtt lijiye Yuvaan, m iss shadi k liye Tayyar hu bss muje apse kuch puchna h.”
(Please do not be concerned, Yuvaan. I am prepared for this marriage; however, I must first ask you a few questions.)
Yuvaan nods and says: “Ji puchiye jo puchna h.”
(Yes, ask.)
Takshvi: “I wish to understand how you intend to treat me after marriage. Please do not take this as an accusation; I am simply speaking with complete honesty. I will not tolerate any form of domestic abuse. I am willing to fulfil my responsibilities and behave as you expect, but I will neither accept unnecessary criticism nor endure any form of physical aggression.”
Yuvaan looks toward her for few minutes to get the real emotion about this point but nothing is captured by him and says: “Takshvi, I am a person who genuinely wishes to ensure the comfort of those around me. You mentioned matters such as abuse and mistreatment; however, I have never treated even my workers in such a way—how, then, could I ever behave so toward you, my wife? I understand that at times my demeanour might give the impression that I am harsh or indifferent, yet in truth, I am nothing of the sort.”
Takshvi nods in understanding and asks: “Vese ap mujse shadi kyu krna chahte h?”
(By the way, why do you want to marry me?)
Yuvaan: “M ghr ma ek laxmi chahta hu. And jb Anshul bhai ki side se proposal aaya toh m mana bhi nhi kr paya.”
(I want a Lakshmi in my home. And when the proposal came from Anshul bhai's side, I couldn’t even say no.)
Takshvi nods and says: “Don’t take me wrong but I feel like m apko pehle se janti hu.”
(Don’t take me wrong, but I feel like I’ve known you beforehand.)
Yuvaan smiles and says: “Jb shi time hoga, m apko bta dunga.”
(When the right time comes, I’ll tell you.)
Takshvi nods and asks: “Apko kuch puchna h?”
(Do you want to ask me something?)
Yuvaan: “Ji, m y janna chahta hu ki apki koi expectation h iss marriage se?”
(Yes, I want to know if you have any expectations from this marriage?)
Takshvi chuckles and says: “Muje koi expectation nhi h, hnn agr apko h toh aap btaiye.”
(I don’t have any expectations, but if you do, please tell me.)
Yuvaan catches the sarcasm and says: “M nhi janta ki apki zindagi ma ab tk kya hu h, even vo chize mere liye kbhi matter nhi krengi but m chahta hu ki aap iss shadi ko honestly accept kre. And m kbhi bhi aisa kuch nhi krunga jisse apko hurt ho. Baki ek baat h jo m apne jarur kehna chahunga.”
(I don’t know what has happened in your life so far, even those things will never matter to me, but I want you to accept this marriage honestly. And I would never do anything to hurt you. There’s one more thing I would like to say.)
Takshvi nods and says: “Ji kahiye.”
(Yes, please go ahead.)
Yuvaan: “M bss itna chahta hu ki agr aaghe chlkr apko kbhi bhi kuch bura lge ya fr uncomfortable feel ho toh aap bss keh dijiyega. Mtlb apne mn ma mtt rkhiyga kuch bhi. Communication chahta hu m, baki m apse kabhi kuch nhi kahunga.”
(I just want that if in the future you ever feel bad or uncomfortable about anything, you just tell me. I mean, don’t keep anything inside to yourself. I want communication, otherwise I will not say anything to you.)
Takshvi hears each and every word attentively and nods to his thoughts. Yuvaan also nods and says: “Anything else?”
Takshvi: “I have a request.”
Yuvaan nods and says: “Kahiye.”
Takshvi: “Can we do court marriage?”
Yuvaan thinks for a moment and says: “Any specific reason?”
Takshvi: “I don’t want to let this known to many people.”
Yuvaan nods and says: “Okay, we will do court marriage.”
Takshvi nods and says: “Thank you so much.”
Yuvaan shakes his head in no and says: “Don’t be. Just let me know your comfort zone further too.”
Takshvi nods and says: “Sure. And same here.”
Yuvaan nods and says: “Let’s go.”
Takshvi nods and both leaves downstairs. Seeing them coming downstairs, Krishna stands up and asks: “Kya decide kiya h apne?”
Yuvaan looks toward Takshvi who is standing normally without any facial expression and says: “We both are ready for this marriage but we will do court marriage.”
All becomes shocked while Anish steps forward and asks: “Why bhai?”
Yuvaan: “It’s our personal decision.”
Anish nods and says: “M lawyer se papers ready krva deta hu.”
(I will talk with a lawyer and get the papers ready.)
Yuvaan nods and moves toward Anshul and says: “Bhaiya, apko koi dikkat toh nhi h na?”
(Bhaiya, you don’t have any problems. Right?)
Anshul shakes his head in no and says: “Nhi, but take care of her.”
Yuvaan nods and says: “I promise, bhaiya.”
Anshul nods while Anish returns and says: “Bhai, papers will be ready by evening. Till then, let’s pack bhabhi’s bags.”
Hearing Bhabhi from his mouth Takshvi looks toward Anish with surprise that he has already accepted her. Meanwhile, Rahul steps forward and slaps Anish’s back and says: “Kya h, humari bhn ko itni jldi le jana chahta h?”
(What’s this, does he want to take our sister so soon?)
Anish smirks and says: “Itne saalo se apke pass toh thi, ab humare sath rhengi.”
(She’s been with you all these years, now she’ll stay with us.)
All chuckles hear this while Takshvi smiles softly toward him which he observes and says: “Bhabhi, chlo m apki help krta hu packing ma.”
(Bhabhi, come on, I’ll help you with the packing.)
Yuvaan steps forward and says: “Takshvi aap jayye packing kr lijiye. Y humare ghr ma ek comedian hone vala h. So, ap ignore bhi kr skti h.”
(Takshvi, you go and finish the packing. There’s going to be a comedian in our house, so you can ignore him if you want.)
Takshvi chuckles and says: “Aisa kyu keh rhe h aap?”
(Why are you saying that?)
Yuvaan smirks and says: “Apko pta chl jaega bss kuch din rukiye aap.”
(You’ll find out, just wait a few days.)
Takshvi nods and says: “M packing krk aati hu.”
(I am coming after finishing my packing.)
Yuvaan nods and turns toward Rahul and Ankit: “Ap bhi unki help krva dijiye.”
(You also help her.)
Rahul nods and says: “Jiju ap Anish ko Takshvi k bare ma bta dijiye tb tk m and Anshul bhai help kr dete h Takshvi ki.”
(Jiju, please inform Anish about Takshvi. In the meantime, Anshul and I will assist her.)
Ankit nods while Alka steps forward and says: “But, y sb itni jldi ho rha h. At least muje meri beti se milne do. Fr vo chli hi jaegi sham ko toh.”
(But why is everything happening so hastily? At least allow me to meet my daughter once. She will be leaving by evening anyway.)
Anshul steps forward and says: “Maaf kijiyega mami but jb apke pass chance tha usko khush rkhne ka tb apne usko hrr vo dukh diya jiski vo hkdaar nhi thi. And sirf apne hi nhi blki apke husband and y chote mama mami kum nhi h. Bss m chup hu kyunki vo khud kuch nhi bolti vrna aap janti h m kya kr skta hu kya nhi.”
(Forgive me, Aunt, but when you had the opportunity to keep her happy, you chose instead to cause her pain she never deserved. And it was not only you—your husband and the younger uncle and aunt were no less at fault. I remain silent only because she herself chooses not to speak; otherwise, you are fully aware of what I am capable of.)
Alka and Krishna stayed quiet after hearing this, while Deepak and Manju clearly looked angry. Manju was about to say something but stopped when Yuvaan spoke: “I don’t really know the exact nature of your relationship with Takshvi, but since she’s going to be my wife soon, I’ll say this politely one last time—if anyone tries to hurt her, or even thinks about it, I’ll make sure their life turns into a nightmare. Remember my words, all of you. I’m kind to her only because I see her as my own; otherwise, you all know how I handle people outside.”
All nods while Mishti smiles after hearing this. Soon, all arrangements are done and Takshvi steps downstairs and says: “Yuvaan, all things are packed.”
Yuvaan nodded and said: “Okay, aap chliye hum court chlte h. Y sb saman, ghr pahunch jaega.”
(Very well, let us proceed to the court. All these belongings will be delivered to your residence.)
Takshvi nods and asks: “M ek baar sbse mil lu?”
(May I meet everyone once before we go?)
Yuvaan: “Y apki family h Takshvi. Apko mujse kisi chiz ki permission lene ki need nhi h. Apko jesa mn kre vesa kriye.”
(They are your family, Takshvi. You have no need to seek my permission for anything. You should act exactly as your heart desires.)
Takshvi smiles and inclines her head in acknowledgment. Observing her warm expression directed toward him, Yuvaan experiences a profound sense of joy, then turns his gaze toward Anshul, Anish, Ankit, and Rahul, who respond with a reassuring blink. Yuvaan returns the gesture with a decisive nod. Meanwhile, Takshvi turns toward her family and says, “I have little more to convey to you. I only hope that you will now find contentment in the fact that I am leaving.”
Hearing her word all looks down while Takshvi doesn’t bother to show any emotion and continues while hugging Mishti: “Apna dhyan rkhna beta. Khush rehna.”
(Take care, beta. Be happy.)
Mishti nods and says: “Ap bhi rkhna dii.”
(You also dii.)
Takshvi smiles and says: “Lgta h ki ab muje khud rkhne ki zarurat nhi pdegi.”
(Seems like, now I don’t have to take care of myself.)
Mishti smiles and nods. Meanwhile, Takshvi turns and sees Yuvaan and Anish are laughing with Rahul, Ankit and Anshul which makes her eyes warm. She moves toward them and says: “Chle?”
(Shall we go?)
Yuvaan turns and offers a polite smile and says: “Ji chliye.”
(Yes, let’s go.)
Saying this, Takshvi leaves with Yuvaan, Anish, Anshul, Ankit and Rahul. Seeing her going, Alka says: “Aaj aap logo ki vgh se meri beti mujse milna chodo dekhna tk nhi chahti thi.”
(Because of all of you, my daughter no longer wished to see me, nor even to look in my direction.)
Krishna added: “Sirf tumse hi nhi, mujse bhi nhi milkr gyi vo.”
(She did not merely avoid meeting you; she departed without speaking to me as well.)
Mishti lets out a quiet laugh before remarking, “Do not pretend to be sorrowful over her departure, for you had long since taken my sister away from me. She had been nothing more than a living shell within this household. And it was not only the two of you—uncle and aunt, you were no less complicit. Even Avi, do not imagine yourself to be virtuous; you never once stood by her side. And now you speak as though her absence grieves you profoundly.”
Saying this, she turns and leaves from there without waiting for anyone’s reply. While, the whole family stays stunned. Because everyone knows that this is true and they are the reason behind Takshvi’s heartlessness.
Meanwhile, In court:
Takshvi, Rahul, Anshul, Ankit, Yuvaan, Anish are standing outside and waiting for Khushal and Vishesh. Seeing them waiting, Anish says: Bhai yrr bore ho rha h.
(I am utterly bored.)
Yuvaan rolls his eyes and says: Ab tu kya chahta h ki yaha tere liye entertainment program organize krvau?
(And what exactly do you expect? Should I arrange an entertainment program here solely for your amusement?)
Anish smirks and says: Vese idea acha h, chlo ap arrange krvao tb tk m popcorn and baithne ka intezam dekhta hu.
(Well, that is not a bad suggestion. Go ahead and organize it, while I attend the popcorn and seating arrangements.)
Anshul steps toward him and smacks lightly over his back and says: Tuje kbhi chup rehna aata h? Jb dekho bk bk.
(Is there ever a moment when you know how to keep quiet? You are always chattering.)
Anish pouts and says: M toh bss yhi keh rha hu ki bore ho rha h and vese bhi Bhabhi kbse khadi h, vo bhi thkk gyi hongi. Haina Bhabhi?
(I am merely pointing out that I am bored, and besides, Bhabhi has been standing for quite some time; she must be fatigued as well. Isn’t that so, Bhabhi?)
Takshvi gazes at Anish for a few moments before discerning that his concern for her is genuine, a realization that stirs an unfamiliar warmth within her and brings a faint smile to her lips. Shaking her head gently, she replies, “No, Anish, I am fine.”
Her words provoke laughter among those nearby, while Anish’s pout deepens, drawing a gentle chuckle from Takshvi in return. Moments later, their conversation is abruptly interrupted by the blare of a car horn. As Takshvi turns toward the source, her smile fades instantly upon noticing Vishesh behind the wheel. The subtle shift in her expression does not escape Yuvaan and Anish, who exchange a silent glance of understanding, tacitly resolving to ensure her safety.
Meanwhile, Khushal and Vishesh walk toward them. Takshvi stays silent on which Khushal moves toward her and says: “Thk h na tu?”
(You, okay?)
Takshvi nods and says: “Hn, tu kesa h?”
(Yeah, what about you?)
Khushal nods and says: “M bhi thk hu.”
(I am also fine.)
Takshvi nods and her gaze shifts toward Vishesh who is already looking at her. Takshvi diverts her gaze on which Vishesh says: “Baat kr skte h? Please.”
(May we speak, please?)
Takshvi: “Baat krne layak kuch nhi bcha h. Rhne dete h bhai.”
(There is nothing left worth discussing. Let us leave it at that, my friend.)
Vishesh lowers his eyes and says: “Vishu hi bol le at least.”
(At the very least, call me Vishu.)
Takshvi: “Ap vo right le chuke mujse.”
(You have already taken that right away from me.)
Vishesh was about to say something but Anshul interrupts and says: “Okay enough. Come, let’s go.”
Takshvi nods and looks toward Yuvaan who offers a polite smile and says: “Apko agr time chahiye toh le lijiye.”
(If you want time, then please take.)
Takshvi experienced a quiet surge of joy at the thought that her future partner might possess such a depth of care and consideration. Yet, despite this, an inner reluctance persisted, her heart still resisting the impulse to place complete trust in him. Regaining her composure, she responded with measured resolve, “No, I am ready.”
Yuvaan gives a small nod in agreement, and together they head towards the courtroom, with their family walking alongside, their faces showing anything from quiet excitement to a bit of pride. The big wooden doors squeak open, showing a simple room bathed in soft light from tall, arched windows. The magistrate is sitting on the bench, his robes making him look authoritative, while the clerks shuffle neatly stacked files across polished desks. Footsteps lightly echo on the marble floor as everyone finds their seats.
Soon after, the court marriage proceedings are carried out carefully—every document checked, every statement confirmed clearly. The couple, with steady hands, sign the required legal papers, officially marking their union. A soft murmur of approval spreads through the room before the newly married couple, now bound together in both love and purpose, steps out.
After coming out court, Anshul walks toward Takshvi and says: “Beta, bss tu ek ghr se doosre ghr ja rhi h and muje ispr itna bharosa h ki y tuje khush rkhega pr kbhi bhi ek percent bhi lge ki tuje iske sath nhi rehna toh yaad rkhna tera y bhai ab bhi h tere liye.”
(My dear, you are merely moving from one household to another, and I have complete faith that he will keep you happy. Yet, should you ever feel—even for a single moment—that you do not wish to remain with him, remember that your brother will always be here for you.)
Takshvi’s eyes turn soft hearing this and say: “Ap chinta mtt kriye bhaiya. M apki y baat yaad rkhunga.”
(Please do not worry, brother. I will remember what you have said.)
Anshul nods and after so many emotional talks, Khushal says: “Okay, so Yuvaan jiju.”
Yuvaan raises his eyebrows and asks: “Jiju? Not bad.”
Khushal rolls his eyes and says: “Izzat raas nhi aa rhi hogi na?”
(Seems the respect is not quite to your taste, is it?)
Yuvaan chuckles and says: “Acha, chl bol.”
(Very well, go ahead—speak.)
Khushal nods and says: “Dekh, m janta hu tu acha insan h pr yrr ek baat bol rha hu ya tu keh skta h ki warn kr rha hu.”
(Listen, I know you are a good man, but I must say something—whether you take it as advice or as a warning.)
Anish finds something interesting in this and asks: “Kya baat h bhai? Jldi bolo.”
(What is the matter, brother? Speak quickly.)
Khushal looks toward Takshvi and winks which made her gasp and says: Khushal, no.
Khushal chuckles while others are now more excited to know the point which made Takshvi shocked. Khushal moves toward Takshvi and says: “Aree meri pyari bhn, ab apka sch toh btana pdega na.”
(Ah, my dear sister, it is time for the truth to be told.)
Takshvi shakes her head in no and says: “Koi jarurat nhi h. Tu bss jhuth bolega.”
(There is no need. You will only fabricate lies.)
Khushal gasps and says while clenching his heart dramatically: “M aur jhuth, never…. And Yuvaan jiju, y ldki na bht khatarnak h. Iski bholi shkl pr mtt jana. Y gusse ma khud k sath sath samne vale ko maar deti h. And khana, vo toh y itna khati h ki apke ghr ka rashan khtm kr degi. M apko ab bhi keh rha hu ek baar aur soch lo.”
(Me, a liar? No way! And Yuvaan, my brother-in-law, let me tell you—this girl is way more dangerous than her innocent look shows. When she gets mad, she doesn’t just hurt herself; she takes down anyone in her way. And about her appetite, she eats like crazy—she could wipe out all the food in your house. Seriously, think twice before deciding anything.)
All look toward Khushal with an open mouth after hearing this, while Takshvi removes her heel and says: Now, I will see that who will save you.
Khushal runs on which Takshvi says: “Anish bhaiya, pkdo isko. Aaj m isko btati hu gussa k bare ma.”
(Anish bhaiya, catch him. I will tell him today about my anger.)
Anish pauses for a few moments, letting the weight of the word she just gave him sink in. Then, without wasting a second, he dashes after Khushal to try to catch him, while the others look at Takshvi with teary eyes, because they haven’t seen this carefree side of her in a long time.
Meanwhile, Vishesh turns to Yuvaan and says, “I don’t know if you have any feelings for Takshvi, but I know one thing for sure—my biggest mistake was not trusting her, which made her stop talking to me completely. Even now, she doesn’t say much, and the bond I wanted with her is broken. I just ask that you trust her completely. Right now, she’s the most mature one among us; but the moment you make her truly comfortable, you’ll see the innocence and playfulness of a child in her.”
Yuvaan hears each and every word with whole attention and says: “Don’t worry. I will take care of it.”
Vishesh nods and looks toward Anish, Khushal and Takshvi who are still in their own chaos. And the moment Anish catches Khushal, Takshvi slaps his back and says: “So, what were you saying?”
Khushal chuckles and says: “Aree vo toh bss aise hi.”
(Oh, it was nothing.)
Takshvi slaps over his nape and says: “Kum bola kr.”
(Speak less.)
Khushal bends toward Anish and whispers: “Beta, y bss abhi keh rhi kum bola kr. Pr jb y bolti h na toh duniya kehte h ki kum bola Takshvi.”
(My dear, she is telling you now to speak less, yet when she speaks, the whole world tells Takshvi to quiet down.)
Hearing this, Anish laughs at which Takshvi says: “Hsi kis baat pr aai?”
(And what exactly is so amusing?)
Anish shakes his head and says: “Kuch nhi Bhabhi. Aao sbke pass chlte h.”
(Nothing at all, Bhabhi. Come, let us join the others.)
And saying this, he runs toward Yuvaan and says: “Bhai, aapki biwi bht khatarnak h sch ma. Pr m khush hu ki unhone muje apna devar maan liye and ab toh muje bhaiya bhi keh rhi thi.”
(Brother, your wife is truly formidable. But I am glad she has accepted me as her younger brother. In fact, she was even calling me ‘Bhaiya’ a short while ago.)
Hearing this, Yuvaan chuckles and says: “Hn hn hoja khush.”
(Yes, yes, be happy about it.)
Anish nods while Takshvi comes back with Khushal and gives Anshul a gentle hug. Anshul knows she’s not great at expressing her emotions, but deciding not to meet them still makes her a bit sad. Even though she’s chosen to keep her distance, she still cares about them a lot. After a brief pause, Anshul takes a deep breath and says, “Now go with them. If you ever need to talk, you know I’m always here. Okay?”
Takshvi nods and moves toward Rahul, Ankit who also hugs her and wishes her for a good life. The moment she steps toward Vishesh, her body becomes tensed which is sensed by Yuvaan and steps toward her and says: “Ap akeli nhi h yaha.”
(You are not alone here.)
Takshvi nods and says: “I wish bhai ab apki life ma khushiya hongi.”
(I hope your life will also be filled with happiness.)
Vishesh just looks at her because he already lost those rights which Takshvi had given him. Takshvi observes him but decides to stay silent and says: “Bye bhai.”
Vishesh nods and says: “Take care, Shavi.”
Takshvi stops in mid ways and says: “Takshvi. It’s Takshvi, bhai.”
Vishesh nods and says: “Sorry.”
Saying this, he turns and leaves toward the car while Khushal hugs her and says: “Dhyan rkhio.”
(Take care.)
Takshvi nods and says: “Tu bhi.”
(You too.)
Khushal nods and moves toward Anish and Yuvaan. Yuvaan waits patiently to let him speak because he knows that he shares a very special bond with Takshvi.
Khushal: “M nhi kehta ki ap iska dhyan nhi rkhoge but y bss dikhati h ki strong h but y nhi h. Iska dhyan rkhna please.”
(I am not suggesting that you will neglect her well-being, yet she merely projects an image of strength, which in truth she does not possess. Please take care of her.)
Yuvaan nods and says while hugging him: “Tension mtt le. M dhyan rkhunga.”
(Do not worry. I will look after her.)
Khushal nods and moves toward Anish and says: “Beta, y tere profession se bht drti h but jb y bimar ho toh strict ho jayyo. Bilkul mtt sunio iski vrna y davai bhi nhi leti.”
(Son, she harbors a deep apprehension toward your profession, but when she is unwell, you must be firm with her. Do not yield to her protests, otherwise she will refuse to take her medicine.)
Takshvi interrupts and asks: “Anish bhaiya, doctor ho ap?”
(Anish bhaiya, are you a doctor?)
Khushal smirks and says: “Hnji, he is a doctor.”
Anish looks toward Takshvi who is avoiding eye contact which makes him smile warmly and says toward Khushal: “Chinta mtt kijiye bhaiya. M bhi dekhta hu y davai kese nhi lengi.”
(Do not worry, brother. I shall ensure she does not avoid her medication.)
Takshvi pouts and says: “M apse baat nhi krungi.”
(I will not speak to you.)
Anish moves toward her and asks: “Aise kese nhi kroge aap baat mujse, haan? And dekho Bhabhi, m toh apki team ma hi hu na. Bss ap apna dhyan rkhna ya fr kbhi koi issue ho toh muje bta dena, m bht polite hu. Haina bhaiya?”
(How could you possibly refuse to speak with me, hmm? And look, Bhabhi, I am part of your team, am I not? Simply ensure you take care of yourself, and if ever there is an issue, do let me know. I am exceedingly courteous, am I not, brother?)
Yuvaan smirks and says: “Yes, he is very polite.”
Takshvi narrows her eyes and says: “Y muje polite kuch jyada hi polite lg rha h.”
(Why does this politeness seem a little too polished to me?)
Anish chuckles while Khushal says: “Takshvi, y polite rhega but agr tune nhi suni iski ya fr carelessness dikhai toh y strict h., Okay?”
(Takshvi, he will remain polite, but if you disregard his words or exhibit carelessness, he can be quite strict. Understood?)
Takshvi looks toward Anish who smiles warmly and says: “Chlo ab aap jyada mtt socho. Ap nhi ho rhe bimar. M hu apka dhyan rkhne k liye.”
(Come now, do not dwell too much on this. You are not unwell, and I am here to ensure your well-being.)
Yuvaan felt an urge of jealousy and cleared his throat before saying: “Agr tu dhyan rkhne k liye h toh mene shadi kyu ki h?”
(If you are here to take care of her, then why did I marry her?)
Hearing this, all chuckles while Ankit says: “Chlo bht hui baat. Ab aap log bhi jao and hum bhi jate h.”
(Well, that is quite enough conversation for now. You all should go, and we shall take our leave as well.)
Yuvaan nods and after taking gentle wishes from all, he leaves with Takshvi and Anish toward Airan Villa. Seeing them going, Anshul hugs Ankit and says: “Jiju mene kuch glt toh nhi kiya h na?”
(Brother-in-law, I have not done anything wrong, have I?)
Ankit knows the inner turmoil which is blowing in Anshul and says: “Nhi Anshul, tune kuch glt nhi kiya h. Vo humare sath ghut rhi thi.”
(No, Anshul, you have done nothing wrong. She was suffocating in our company.)
Khushal nods and says: “Hnn bhaiya, ab usko environment change milega toh vo thoda better feel kregi.”
(Yes, brother. Once she experiences a change of environment, she will begin to feel somewhat better.)
Anshul nods and says: “Chlo ghr chlte h.”
(Let us return home.)
All nods and leaves from there. Meanwhile, in Khushal’s car, Vishesh is looking out through the window while Khushal is driving silently and then he says: “Ab kyu soch rhe ho itna? Jb apko trust krna chahiye tha uspr tb apne usko bakio ki trh judge kiya.”
(Why are you dwelling on this so much? At the very moment when she most needed your trust, you chose to judge her as others did.)
Vishesh closes his eyes for a brief moment and then says: “Janta hu and uski narazgi, gussa sb jayaz h pr mera dil tdp rha h usko aise dekhkr. M beshak usse 4 saal bda hu but vo muje Vishu kehti thi toh apna lgta tha but ab vo bhai kehte h toh vo chiz dil ma drd krti h.”
(I know, and her displeasure, her anger—all of it is justified. Yet my heart aches to see her in such a state. Though I am four years her senior, she used to call me ‘Vishu,’ which made her feel like family to me. Now she addresses me as ‘brother,’ and that simple change carries a pain that settles deep in my heart.)
Khushal stays silent because he knows that all these things just happened due to misunderstanding. And also, Vishesh has suffered due to all those things. He takes a deep breath and says: “Koi baat nhi, bhai. Ab uski shadi hui h toh ab vo shyd thk ho jayy.”
(It is all right, brother. Now that she is married, perhaps she will be fine.)
Vishesh nods and says: “M yhi pray krta hu ki Shavi thk ho jayy.”
(I only pray that Shavi recovers and finds peace.)
Khushal nods and increases car speed and in no time, they reach their house.
Meanwhile in Airan Villa:
The car stops in front of the villa. Yuvaan and Anish get out of the car. Anish moves toward the mansion gate and says: “Bhai, aap bhabhi ko lao. M arrangements krta hu.”
(Brother, please escort my sister-in-law inside. I shall attend the arrangements.)
Before Yuvaan could say anything, Anish went from there. Yuvaan sighs and helps Takshvi to get out of the car and says: “Aap aayiye. Apka luggage mene andr rkhva diya h.”
(Please, come in. I have already had your luggage placed inside.)
Takshvi quietly nods in acknowledgment and walks toward the main gate at a steady pace alongside Yuvaan. The evening air is cool, carrying a light scent of jasmine from the garden, while the soft glow of lanterns paints the marble path in golden light. Suddenly, the calm is broken as the whole mansion echoes with loud bursts of fireworks that light up the night sky in red and silver.
Surprised by the noise, Takshvi grips Yuvaan’s hand tighter, her fingers shaking slightly despite her calm appearance. Noticing her discomfort, Yuvaan’s face softens; he turns a bit toward her and gently rubs circles on her knuckles. His voice, low and steady, cuts through the noise. “Relax,” he says softly, his words full of quiet assurance. “I’m here.”
Slowly, her breathing evens out, and the first wave of fear fades into a quiet calm. As the fireworks keep bursting above in all their colourful glory, they stay side by side, holding hands—a quiet sign that they trust each other, promising without words that even in the chaos, they can still find some comfort.
Takshvi nods and says: “Hath pkd skti hu na?”
(Can I hold it?)
Yuvaan smiles and says: “Bilkul pkd skti h ap. Bss hrr chiz k liye puchne ki zarurat nhi h.”
(Of course, you may. There is simply no need to seek permission for every little thing.)
Takshvi inclines her head in a gentle nod, her gaze lifting toward the expanse of the sky, a faint smile gracing her lips. A quiet swell of joy rises within Yuvaan’s chest, born of the realization that she has begun, however slightly, to place her trust in him—and for the moment, that is sufficient. He too turns his eyes skyward and murmurs softly, “Thank you, Anish. I know this is all your doing.”
Takshvi looks Yuvaan confusingly and asks: “Apne kuch kaha?”
(Did you say something?)
Yuvaan shakes his head and says: “Ji nhi. Aao andr chlte h.”
(No, come let’s go inside.)
Takshvi nods and the moment they turn Anish appears and says: “Aise kese aa rhe ho. Pehle rasam krte h.”
(How is it that you have arrived so suddenly? We must first perform the customary rites.)
Yuvaan asks confusingly: “Kesi rasam?”
(What rites are you referring to?)
Anish grins and says: “M thoda bht janta hu pehle y kalash ko right leg se kick krna h fr red water ma leg k finger print dene h.”
(I am somewhat familiar with the procedure. First, you must lightly tap this ceremonial vessel with your right foot, and then imprint the toes of your right foot into the red-colored water.)
Takshvi controls her laugh while Yuvaan sighs frustratedly and asks: “And Mr. Airan m jaan skta hu ki apko y krne k liye kisne kaha?”
(And, Mr. Airan, may I know who instructed you to undertake such actions?)
Anish smirks and says: “Bhaiya, ab shadi toh court ma krli toh kuch toh ghr pr bhi krte h.”
(Brother, since the marriage has already been solemnized in court, it seemed fitting to perform at least some traditions here at home.)
Yuvaan was on the verge of speaking further, but Takshvi intervened gently, saying, “It is all right. We shall proceed with it. You have no objection, do you, Yuvaan?”
Yuvaan’s frustration starts melting and says: “Ji nhi.”
Takshvi nods and soon all rituals are done by both of them and then Yuvaan says: “Aur kuch krna h Mr. Airan ya fr hum rest kr le?”
(Is there anything else we must do, Mr. Airan, or may we take some rest?)
Anish gulps in nervousness and says: “Nhi, aap jao.”
(No, please, you may go.)
Takshvi chuckles and says: “Yuvaan, bss bhi kijiye. Kyu dra rhe h usko?”
(Yuvaan, that is enough. Why are you trying to frighten him?)
Yuvaan sighs and says: “You don’t know Takshvi. He only irritates me.”
Anish pouts and says: “But you love me na…”
Yuvaan closes his eyes for a brief moment because his patience is wearing thin on which Anish says: “Ok ok. I am going. Good night bhaiya, good night, Bhabhi.”
Takshvi wishes him while Yuvaan ignores him and says: “Chliye.”
Takshvi nods and follows him. After reaching room, Yuvaan says: “Agr apko sath ma rehne ma issue h toh aap bta skti h. M doosra room le lunga.”
(If residing together poses any difficulty for you, please feel free to inform me. I shall arrange for a separate room without hesitation.)
Takshvi quietly appreciates the deep respect and personal space he’s given her, even before saying a word. His thoughtful restraint really shows what kind of person he is, and she feels lucky to have his affection and thoughtfulness. Feeling this warmth fills her with a gentle gratitude. After a brief pause to gather her thoughts, she looks up, calm but open, and casually says, “No, I don’t mind. You can rest here,” letting him know not just that it’s okay, but that she genuinely welcomes his presence.
Yuvaan nods and proceeds to the changing room, pausing briefly to suggest that she make herself comfortable. Before long, both settle in and claim their respective spaces upon the bed. Observing a certain unease in Takshvi’s demeanor, Yuvaan remarks, “Are you finding it difficult to fall asleep?”
Takshvi sits and says: “Vo m aaj se pehle m akeli soi hu toh thoda ajeeb lg rha h.”
(Until today, I had always slept alone, so this feels somewhat unusual.)
Yuvaan smiles and says: “Toh pehle bta diya hota. Aap yaha so jao, m couch pr so jata hu.”
(You should have mentioned it earlier. You may sleep here; I shall take the couch.)
Takshvi: “Nhi, aap yhi so jao bss bich ma pillow rkh skti hu kya?”
(No, you may sleep here as well. I can simply place a pillow between us, if that is acceptable.)
Yuvaan nods and says: “Ji, jesa apko comfortable ho. Aap kr skti h.”
(Certainly—whatever makes you feel comfortable. You may do so.)
Takshvi inclines her head in a gentle nod, murmuring a barely audible expression of gratitude. Yuvaan, too, reclines upon the bed, allowing the weight of exhaustion to settle over him. Before long, the quiet of the room deepens, and together they surrender to the serenity of sleep, drifting gradually into a profound and unbroken slumber.
