Anish sits near her for a few minutes without saying anything. He does not rush her, does not ask her to stop crying, and does not try to fill the silence with unnecessary words. He simply remains there beside her, his presence steady and reassuring. Every now and then, his gaze falls on her bandaged hand before returning to her face. He can see that she is trying desperately to compose herself, but the emotions she has been holding back for far too long are slowly breaking through the walls she has built around herself.
Tanvisha is not able to control herself by this much support for the very first time in her life. The simple fact that someone is sitting beside her without expecting anything in return, without blaming her for crying, without telling her that she needs to be stronger, touches a part of her that she has kept hidden for years. Her lips tremble as she looks at Anish, and before she can stop herself, she moves closer to him.
